2) Quotes, scope & onboarding
Quotes & scope
We will outline the agreed deliverables, timelines, and fees in writing.
Changes requested after approval may require a revised quote, additional fees, or an adjustment to the project timeline.
The scope of services is determined by the applicable quote, proposal, order, or written agreement.
Your materials
You are responsible for supplying manuscripts, images, artwork, approvals, information, and timely feedback reasonably required to complete your project.
Delays in providing required materials or feedback may extend project timelines.
Start of work
Work begins after written approval, including electronic approval or e-signature where applicable, and payment of any required initial invoice or deposit.
3) Fees, invoicing, GST & late payment
Prices are stated in Australian dollars (AUD) and will specify whether GST is included or excluded, where applicable.
Invoices are due on the payment dates shown on the relevant quote or invoice.
Late amounts may incur reasonable administrative or collection costs where permitted by law.
For printing or third-party costs, including ISBNs, proof copies, distribution fees, printing charges, or platform fees, you authorise us to pass through those costs once they have been approved by you.
You are responsible for providing accurate billing and payment information.
4) Consumer guarantees
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable consumer protection laws.
Where applicable under Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation, you may have rights and remedies in relation to goods or services that do not meet mandatory consumer guarantees.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit those non-excludable rights.
For customers in New Zealand, applicable rights and protections under New Zealand law also apply where they cannot legally be excluded.
5) Cancellations, refunds & change of mind
Cancellations, refunds, returns, and change-of-mind requests are governed by our Refunds, Returns & Cancellations Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
Refunds, Returns & Cancellations Policy:
View our Refunds, Returns & Cancellations Policy
Because many of our services are customised for individual authors and projects, payments relating to work already performed, customised services, and third-party costs already incurred or committed are generally non-refundable for change of mind, subject to any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
Clients should review the Refunds, Returns & Cancellations Policy before purchasing or commencing our services.
6) Approvals, proofs & production

Final approval
When you approve final files or print proofs, we may proceed with production, publication, printing, distribution, or submission to relevant third-party platforms.
Errors identified after your final approval may be your responsibility unless the error was caused by our failure to follow the approved specifications or by our own error.
7) Third-party platforms & printers
We may assist you with creating or connecting accounts and submitting materials to third-party services, including publishing and distribution platforms, print vendors, e-book retailers, payment processors, analytics services, and file-transfer tools.
Third-party services operate under their own terms, conditions, policies, pricing, technical requirements, and privacy practices.
You are responsible for complying with applicable third-party requirements.

We retain ownership of our pre-existing materials, design tools, templates, systems, processes, know-how, and other materials that are not specifically created for your project or are not capable of being separately assigned.
Portfolio licence
You grant us a non-exclusive licence to reproduce completed covers, interiors, excerpts, or other finished project materials for our portfolio, website, marketing materials, and case studies.
You may opt out of this portfolio use by contacting us at info@tasmanpublishers.com.au .
Where reasonably practicable, we will remove or stop using the relevant material for future promotional use.
